Overview

The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a national charity with a vision to create a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.

The Wirral Dyslexia Association run a local Helpline and drop-in sessions from the St James Centre and also offer appointment led screening tests.

Services Provided

The Wirral Dyslexia Association run a local Helpline (0151 653 4040) and drop-in sessions (at St James Centre, Monday to Friday 10am - 12 Noon). Please call to confirm times for drop-in.

On a national level, the BDA run a number of events, workshops, training and conferences, as well as a number of fun events including the Spellbound Ball and a day for members.

Training is designed for:

  • Schools and Teachers - teaching techniques and more
  • Employer and Employees - a fully funded employee training course, aimed at assisting employees with dyslexia across core skill areas in the workplace
  • Individuals

Funding and Grants

Support for BDA is procured from donations, fundraising events and revenues through delivery of advice and training.
